Governance

The Nova Scotia Branch of the Canadian Bar Association is governed by a President who is elected annually, a Past President and an Executive Committee.

Our structure includes a Council that meets to make policy decisions and standing committees covering a wide range of areas – such as access to justice, equality and professional development. Special committees and task forces are also appointed as needed.

Sections are organized to study particular branches of law and pertinent issues of the day. All 31 Sections are administered by a Chair and Vice-chair.
